Let’s not kid ourselves, we’ve been nostalgic for the glory days of &yet&yet, and Winter Hymn, Country Hymn, Secret Hymn.  Do Make Say Think has always been revered for synthesizing driving bass lines, dueling drums, and sharp brass horns into tracks that are more than a sum of their parts.  Other Truths is a triumphant return to form for DMST after a one-album foray into folkier sounds and structure.  Quite literally, the four tracks – “Do,” “Make,” “Say,” and “Think” -  do an impeccable job of defining the band’s characteristic qualities and future potential.  Vocals are knitted into the sonic tapestry by both Lullabye Arkestra and the Akron Family.  The ragtag collective is here to stay.
