Swollen and stacked with glitter and gold, the Australian four-piece knows how to layer guitar tones in the most affecting and heart-wrenching ways. This, their sophomore effort, is a collection of only five tracks whose lengths usually hover around the 9-minute mark, so thirsts for their dynamic compositions should be quenched, yet they jampack every second with so much breathtaking beauty that you’re still left yearning for more at its denouement. The tension builds and builds throughout each movement like doves soaring off the ground in rapid succession, but like a metaphorical flock of the divine white birds, TIYCS do it with natural grace and supreme effortless. Truly they are the captains of this listening voyage, and while the ride does get bumpy at times, we have them to trust in and let guide us through the storms.
