Signal Hill - More After We’re Gone

SIGNAL HILL ON THE WEB / SIGNAL HILL ON MYSPACE
Mid-tempo post-rock can often have the tendency of falling somewhat flat on the ears, but we here at nowlikephotographs can more than safely say that Signal Hill have done it right. Without pushing the envelope on any of the traditionally used (or abused) elements, the Los Angeles band have managed to craft an album which simultaneously displays both the beauty of restraint and intelligent rhythmic intricacy. More After We’re Gone holds much promise and expectation, considering the self-released album is also their first. Harboring twelve tracks and clocking in at just over an hour, More After We’re Gone might very well prove itself to be one of the top instrumental releases of the year. You can hear a track from this wonderful album by visiting the nowlikephotographs podcast.
